Guangdong has been experiencing heavy rainfalls recently, with significant precipitation and localized heavy rains in the southern part of the province on July 4.

At around 1 pm on July 4, affected by astronomical factors, the Pearl River in Guangzhou had its astronomical tide, with the largest and highest tide levels this year. The rising tide near Haiyin Park submerged the protective fence. Residents flocked to watch the tide and play in the water by the riverside.

From July 5 to 6, precipitation in most parts of the province will weaken, and the areas with temperatures above 35℃ will expand.

On July 5, most of the province will be cloudy with scattered (thunder) showers. The temperature is expected to continue to rise.

On July 6, most cities in Guangdong will experience sunny to cloudy weather with localized (thunder) showers. The highest temperatures will be 31℃ to 33℃ in the coastal areas of southern Guangdong, and 34℃ to 36℃ in the remaining cities.

Due to the influence of the east wind and the southerly monsoon, people should pay attention to defending against strong local convection and secondary disasters. Starting from Wednesday, the thunderstorms will weaken, and the scorching hot weather will return. Residents should be aware of the risk of heatstroke.
