On November 5, the construction of Foshan Botanical Garden, with a planning area of 257 acres, was kicked off in the city. It will be benchmarked against the domestic first-class botanical gardens and strives to be a comprehensive urban botanical garden that integrates natural science education, plant conservation research, landscape of special themes, and rich cultural flavor.

It will also become a green ecological representative of Foshan and an ecological new landmark for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, providing ecological and functional support for Shishan to build a north city center in Foshan.

The construction of Foshan Botanical Garden is one of the city's 18 key 167-acre parks. As planned, the project will be built and managed at a high level.

The project is also a strong support for the "double center" strategy of Shishan. In recent years, with the development of Shishan's urban planning, ecological progress, and land integration, Bo'ai Lake has gradually expanded, forming an area with the Bo’ai Lake as the core, covering Bo'ai West Lake and the area around the Botanical Garden.
