On June 28th, stated by Guangzhou Development and Reform Commission, the construction of underwater tunnel in Sanlongwan is in the process of second reconnaissance. Currently, the team is checking the condition of Heyang Village, Sanshan Road and Gangkou Road.

This project will start from Yinsha Road in Guangzhou Liwan, cross Guangzhou Metro Line 10 and Foshan Metro Line 11 and then end at Gangkou Road in Foshan Nanhai.

The length of the tunnel is about 3.7 kilometre. Once completed, it will take less than 5 minutes traveling between these two places given the speed is 50km/h.
