As statistics from the first quarter of 2022 show, Foshan has seen an added value of 33.87 billion yuan in its finance industry, which marks an increase of 6.5%. For the sector alone, it contributes up to 5.9% to the city’s GDP.

　　At the Foshan 2022 Economy and Finance Work Forum held on August 3rd, the city government has announced to top its priorities to upgrading its financial industry, by which Foshan seeks to sustain its high-quality growth in a long run.
